Introduction:
Nasir container Olu Dara Jones an American rapper better known by his stage name Nas, was born on september 14, 1973. He is regarded as one of the greatest rappers of all time and has his roots in east coast hip hop. Jones began his musical career in 1989 under the moniker “Nasty Nas” and recorded demos for large professor. He is the son of jazz musician Olu Dara. He was subsequently included on the 1991 tune “inhabit the grill” by primary source.
Early Life:
On september 14, 1973 Nasir bin Olu dara jones was given birth to african american parents in the New York city borough of Brooklyn. Olu Dara who goes by Charles Jones III is a mississippi jazz and blues musician. Fannie ann little his mother 1941-2002 was a U.S. Postal assistance laborer from north Carolina. Jabari Fret his brother raps under the stage name jungle and is a part of the hip hop group bravehearts.
The yoruba people gave his father the name “Olu Dara.” The Arabic name “Nasir” means “helper and protector” and the Arabic name “bin” means “son of.” He is a cousin of entertainers Yara Shahidi and Sayeed Shahidi.

Nas and Jay Z had initially been friends and had met a few times in the 1990s without any animosity. Jay Z requested that Nas perform on the track “bring it on” from his 1996 album reasonable doubt. However Nas was not included on the album because he never showed up to the studio. Jay Z asked producer Ski Beatz to sample a line from Nas’s song The world is yours as a response and the sample was heavily used in dead presidents II.
The two exchanged subliminal responses for a few years after that until the beef got even worse in 2001 when Jay Z publicly addressed Nas during his performance of “takeover” at the summer Jam and said “ask Nas he do not want it with Hov.
